Onyx Timecode show, on the Phantom 🌹 of the Opera, Nightwish dynamic version!

A playful timecode created with Obsidian Control Systems Onyx software, a few years ago, recorded this month, on this dynamic and one of my favourite versions of that legendary song!

My apologies for the shaky videos, I guess I was in a "concert mood", plus nowadays my attic is not suitable for static position videos anymore, as it has been too overcrowded!

I do enjoy experimenting with timecodes a lot in the last few years, especially after the Covid period started, testing not only the software's abilities and my imagination during programming but the response of such old light fixtures. I have to say that I have managed for now to do everything I have imagined being possible with these models, at a 99%.

Onyx timecode / programmer, makes it so easy to create complicated effects, of speed or synchronization with a part of a song. I refer to this "negative" 1% on the fact that the strobe on these Clay Paky models (from Golden Scan 3 to the newest Stage Scan I own), is not activated instantly when the command is given, but it requires some milliseconds, which have to be predicted during a timecode cue activation.

Other than that, these old favourite models can respond fantastically in dynamic shows with accuracy in today's modern light control applications. This video is dedicated to friends and other collectors out there, who are taking care of these historic masterpieces from the entertainment lighting industry!

You can visit the Onyx & The Timecodes page to have a look in some of the shows I have uploaded, which include the Cyberlights as well!
